Business Line Description
NXP’s Automotive business unit offers sensor and processing technology that drives all aspects of the secure connected cars of today and the autonomous cars of tomorrow. It provides the processing power to help accelerate the next breakthrough automotive design for advanced driver assistance systems, in-vehicle networking, body, chassis, powertrain and safety applications.
As part of the Automotive Processing business line, the General Purpose and Integrated Solutions (GPIS) product line focuses on a wide variety of high-volume automotive applications powered by NXP microcontrollers. The position focusses on the Integrated Solutions portfolio which deliver optimized application specific products.
The product marketing role will play a leading role, being the Go-To-Market driver for this activite with the below responsibilities and accountabilities:
Defines comprehensive strategy to position and promote the IS offering
Responsible for both Europe and North-America regions
Primary product interface for the regional sales organization
Drive key Design-Wins at automotive Tier1 with sales
Track the overall regional Design-Wins progress and drive actions to meet and exceed targets
Strategize solution play for IS products combined with the wider NXP automotive portfolio
Identify application fields to extend the Integrated Solution with differentiated solutions bringing compelling value to customers
Collect and provide market information and trend insights to the product line
Close collaboration with Product Management on Value Proposition and market feedback to co-shape the roadmap
Key stakeholder for product launch definition, messaging and roll-out
The role demands enthusiasm, a can-do attitude, plus a blend of business and technical skills. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and has a strong commercial appetite to drive and win business in close collaboration with the sales organization. He also enjoys interfacing with customers to understand market problems, defining innovative solutions, and promoting new concepts to the broad global market.
8+ years in the field of high technologies (preferred semiconductor and/or automotive domains) and customer-facing roles (Marketing/Business Development)
MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Experience in the automotive field is an advantage
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
Proven track record of commercial successes in product or service positioning
Self-driven, open-minded, curious, innovative, strong team player and customer minded
Ability to interact across multiple management levels both internally and externally
Fluent in spoken and written English, further foreign languages (German, italian, French, etc.) advantageous
Willingness to travel when necessary
