Field Marketing Manager – South Region

Juniper Networks is seeking a high caliber individual to join a dynamic team, responsible for the planning, execution and reporting on field marketing activities across its end user markets and through its channel partners. This is a regional role with the remit to drive close alignment between sales and marketing, balancing local requirements to drive and support the EMEA marketing plan and corporate marketing initiatives.

Reporting into the Director of EMEA Field Marketing, the successful candidate will have a proven track record and be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of marketing in a sales driven organization. There must be an ability to multi-task and manage local budgets (both Opex and MDF) ensuring all investment spend has a clear and measurable objective that drives and aligns to the regional sales objectives and supports the success of the overall EMEA business.

The candidate will be a strong presenter, capable of articulating the whole EMEA marketing strategy and how it is being relevantly implemented in the South Region to both internal and external audiences. Experience of working within the regional channel landscape is a pre-requisite as well as the ability to develop strong working relationships across the whole EMEA marketing organization (product/solutions, programs, operations and PR/Social Media teams), local sales and partner organisations. Experience on vertical marketing – education/healthcare/government and retail would be beneficial.

The Candidate must have a track record of Enterprise Lead Generation, Channel Marketing, Digital Marketing, Managing Local PR in France, Italy and Israel and demonstrate driving business into Named Account business models and territory business and be able to demonstrate end-to-end management of lead to sale cycles.

Key responsibilities:

  • End User marketing includes; Development of annual/quarterly marketing plans with sales alignment Develop an account based marketing plan for a selected group of customers and customer retention program for focus vertical markets Identification, planning, execution and lead reporting of local/virtual end user events Liaise with central marketing team on corporate messaging and programs Evangelise corporate programs with the sales team Manage and be accountable for OPEX investment into the South-Region Weekly and quarterly reporting into marketing targets and metrics
  • Partner marketing including; Development of channel marketing strategy with Partner Sales Management Development of quarterly marketing plans with Partner Account Managers, Execution of channel marketing plan in line with partner business plan Consultative role for the regional MDF marketing budget Present/regular meetings with key partners and distributors on centrally available marketing materials and Juniper’s strategy to support partner sales Invest in distribution to drive the regional commercial business
  • Other responsibilities Be the single point of contact for marketing in the South Region, represent the full marketing plan that touches the region (regardless of ownership of execution) Drive PR with the Corporate team and agency to deliver the Juniper story across local media and engage in industry awards to raise business profile Drive demand into the regional website and digital online engagements that align with corporate marketing campaigns and narratives.

  • EMEA Marketing Operations
  • Regional Sales Leaders and Account Teams
  • Strategic Channel Partners
  • Competencies and background:

    The ideal candidate will have been working in a similar role within an IT vendor organisation or large Corporate.

    Previous exposure to the following is critical:

  • Experienced in Lead Generation to net new logos.
  • Digital marketing (SEO and Social Media)
  • Knowledge of French and Southern European market
  • Lead Management including dashboard building and proven experience in enhancing funnel performance
  • Experience with enterprise technology applications and platforms supporting Marketing Automation and Customer Relationship Management (e.g. Eloqua and
  • Thorough understanding of marketing in a sales driven organization including Inside and Field Sales.
  • Marketing planning and execution with sales teams
  • Proven track record with Social Media, Digital Demand Creation and SEO.
  • (Virtual) End user event execution
  • Channel marketing activities and planning with Partners
  • Managing OPEX and MDF investments budgets
  • Experience of the following would be beneficial:

  • Database marketing techniques
  • Closed loop lead generation and reporting
  • PR activities to generate media coverage
  • IT Channel engagement and management
  • The candidate will ideally be educated to degree level or similar, will have marketing qualifications and skills sets with strong commercial outlook and have a “can do” attitude.

    They will be a good communicator with a proven track record in delivering successful marketing in a dynamic sales environment.

    Regular travel throughout the region will be a requirement of the role.
